235 million people have asthma, 64 million people have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) while millions have allergic rhinitis and other often-underdiagnosed chronic respiratory diseases. The Respiratory Care Services Department provides skillful and compassionate diagnostic and therapeutic care for inpatients and outpatients.
Under the direction of a Medical Director and intensivists a team of credentialed and licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners treat a wide range of acute and chronic lung disorders including:
- Asthma
- Bronchitis
- Emphysema
- Pneumonia
- Pulmonary fibrosis
- Post surgical care
Our services include:
- Adult Mechanical Ventilation management
- Non – invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation management
- Airway management
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Tracheostomy care
- Aerosol therapy
- Arterial Blood Gas Sampling
- Patient Education
- A variety of intermittent bedside and oxygen administration therapies

The Respiratory Care Services Department operates on a 24 hour basis for in-patient services and weekdays from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m for Arterial Blood Gas sampling and analysis
