Behavioral Health: Adult Outpatient

Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Services

The Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Program at CareWell Health provides outpatient programs and services for adults (18 years and older) who do not require 24-hour supervision provided by an inpatient program or partial hospital/acute partial hospital day program, but require less intensive outpatient counseling/psychiatric services. We offer both in person and telehealth appointments. Most individuals are referred to treatment for services included but not limited to the following stressors: depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, chronic suicidal ideation, co-occurring disorders (i.e. psychiatric and substance abuse/addiction disorders), psychotic disorders (i.e. schizophrenia), emotional distress/adjustment, anger management, domestic violence, and other family/interpersonal conflicts.

A compassionate and skilled staff including psychiatrists, advanced practice psychiatric nurses, licensed psychotherapists, registered nurses, and clinical case managers partner with each consumer and their family to assess the best course of treatment, medication efficacy, determine individual strengths/needs, and develop healthy coping skills to restore each individual’s sense of well-being and hopefulness for the future. Services include but are not limited to the following:

  • Individualized Recovery Planning
  • Psychosocial Assessments
  • Outpatient Therapy/Counseling (i.e. Individual, Group, and Family)
  • Psychiatric Evaluations
  • Ongoing Medication Monitoring
  • Nursing Health and Wellness Assessments
  • Case Management and referrals as needed

Positive change is most often initiated and accomplished through the family, which is why the adult outpatient behavioral health services encourage family members and other support systems to be actively involved and participate in the treatment process of all patients. All individuals and their families are empowered to become aware of their needs and how to address each of these needs and preferences. Through ongoing counseling and as needed medication monitoring, each consumer collaborates with his/her treating psychiatric physician and psychotherapist in addressing their individualized needs so they can achieve emotional wellness and recovery.
